Good Morning America hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been taken off air following DailyMail.com’s bombshell report revealing their affair.
Sources tell DailyMail.com that the lovers have been removed from GMA3 ‘indefinitely’.
Instead, ABC National Correspondent Stephanie Ramos and Transportation Correspondent Gio Benitez hosted GMA3 Monday afternoon and brushed over the PR nightmare.
The replacement anchors kicked off the show telling viewers, ‘Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have the day off,’ and were all smiles as they continued the segment.
A source tells DailyMail.com, ‘There is massive confusion internally. ABC News executive Kim [Godwin] has taken them off the air while they deal with this internally.’

A series of exclusive DailyMail.com photos published on Wednesday revealed their intimate relationship, with the pair seen going on dates around the city and traveling to and from each other’s homes throughout the month of November

The co-stars appeared to be taking the scandal in stride as they continued to anchor the news last week without responding to the report, which included photos of the couple on a romantic getaway, holding hands in the back of a car and sharing a laugh at a bar.
But on Friday the pair finally acknowledged the drama surrounding their clandestine affair by awkwardly laughing off the scandal as they opened the show.
ABC News’ President Kim Godwin made the announcement during an internal call Monday morning, calling the romance a distraction.
‘I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization,’ Godwin said, according to TMZ.
‘This is something I’m not going to talk, we’re not going to talk about on this call until there is more to be said. I’m asking that we stop the whispering in the hallways. You know, we can’t operate with gossip, and speculation and rumors. We need to stay focused on the work.
‘If you think there is something that management needs to know, you can always call HR or, as we’ve said, talk to a manager that you trust. If you think there is something that we need to know.’
The couple were caught in a rare PDA moment as they held hands in the back of an Uber while heading to Robach’s apartment

Holmes and Robach had remained tight-lipped since DailyMail.com revealed the two have been secretly dating despite being married.
It is not known when or how Holmes’s wife 44-year-old attorney, Marilee Fiebig, and Robach’s husband, former Melrose Place actor Shue, 55, learned of the romance, but both couples went their separate ways in August this year, according to sources.
Holmes, 45, welcomed viewers to the lunchtime program Friday with a tongue-in-cheek remark alluding to the controversy, joking that it has been a ‘great week’ for the news anchor.
‘You know, it’s too bad it’s Friday. It’s been a great week,’ he said sarcastically, drawing giggles from Robach, who responded with: ‘Is it?’
‘I just want this one to keep going and going and going,’ he replied. ‘Just enjoy it. Take it all in.’
Robach shot back: ‘Speak for yourself. I’m excited about the weekend. And I’m sure everyone else is too.’
‘We all love our Fridays around here. Some of us do, at least,’ she added as they both laughed nervously.
In another subtle quip later in the show, both Robach and Holmes broke out in giggles again during a health and wellness segment about stress relief with fellow co-host Dr. Jennifer Ashton.
As Ashton listed the benefits of art therapy, one of which is helping lower stress, Robach replied snickering: ‘We should get an art desk.’
Holmes, laughing, then chimed in saying: ‘We are taking art classes this weekend, Dr. Ashton.’
Earlier on Friday, after the show’s taping, Robach was seen moving out of the New York City home she once shared with her now estranged husband Andrew Shue, where she broke her silence on the controversy for the first time.
Robach appeared in good spirits despite the scandal, smiling and waving to the cameras before politely answering questions from DailyMail.com.
When asked if she had anything to say, Robach replied: ‘It’s been great. I’ve gotten a lot of support. And, you know, I appreciate everything, and I’m happy to be going to work,’ before getting into a black service car.
Sources say staff have also been left furious and dismayed by the way the affair has disrupted the newsroom.
The two co-anchors, whose on-screen chemistry has captivated audiences since they joined GMA’s third hour in 2020, can be seen laughing and cozying up to each other at the pub after a morning of filming on November 10

ABC insiders were shocked to see the couple continue to work on air, telling DailyMail.com last week, ‘Disney needs to step in and take action here. We’re a family friendly network and these two are not displaying family values or Disney’s values.’
They added: ‘Bob Iger needs to intervene and terminate them both. He should also be asking Kim Godwin [President of ABC News] how this was allowed to happen on her watch.’
Adding to the dismay is the sadness many staff feel for Robach and Holmes’s spouses of 12 years, former Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue and attorney Marilee Fiebig, especially after DailyMail.com revealed that Holmes also had an earlier affair with GMA producer Natasha Singh.
One said: ‘Everyone loved Andrew at ABC and we felt so bad for him. He is Billy from Melrose Place for God’s sake, what the hell is Amy doing? And T.J. oh T.J. – there is so much more to his story.’
Shue deleted photos of Robach from his Instagram after the affair was revealed.
Holmes’s wife Marilee Fiebig declined to comment when contacted by DailyMail.com and has not spoken publicly since news of the romance broke.
Despite reports that Amy and Andrew have divorced, DailyMail.com has learned the couple has consulted with a mediator.
Up until now, Robach and Holmes were understood to have a close but platonic friendship, even socializing as a foursome with each other’s spouses.
Robach, who shut down her Instagram account in the wake of the scandal, had even shared photos – as recently as March – showing Holmes with his arm casually draped on her husband Shue’s shoulder, while training for a half marathon.
Shue’s last appearance on his wife’s Instagram account was later this summer on July 30 when she posted from a holiday together in Greece.
