MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — Several protesters rushed the stage during Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) address to the New Hampshire GOP’s largest annual fundraising gala.

Two women, who yelled “Jews against DeSantis” and wielded signs, came remarkably close to the governor before being quickly ushered off the stage.

“You’ve gotta have a little spice in the speech,” DeSantis quipped, though he appeared slightly startled.

“You have to have a little fun,” DeSantis added, eliciting applause from the audience.

DeSantis gave his speech at the 2023 Amos Tuck Dinner on Friday before the New Hampshire State Republican Party. A small hodgepodge of demonstrators briefly flashed MAGA and progressive signs outside the complex before his address.

The disruption came within about five minutes of him beginning his remarks.

Over 500 people sat for his speech, including local leaders and political figures such as Republican state House Majority Leader Jason Osborne and former Massachusetts GOP Sen. Scott Brown.

State Republican Chairman Chris Ager said the party amassed a roughly $380,000 haul as of Friday, dubbing it the “largest ever” for the state party.
