Home Alone 2: Lost in New York star Donald Trump could soon be hand-delivering pizza pies to your door.

After speaking at the Lee County Lincoln-Reagan dinner in Fort Myers, Florida, the former US president, 76, swung by Fort Myers’ Downtown House of Pizza.

Joined by Republican Rep Byron Donalds of Florida, Trump reached into a pizza box to grab a slice and offered onlookers pizza by hand yesterday evening.

Trump, the first ex-president to face criminal charges, took a bite of his slice and offered it to one of the ‘Trump’-chanting patrons in the crowd around him.

‘Does anyone want a piece that I’ve eaten?’ he said, adding that the slice is ‘good’ as he placed the half-eaten slice back into the box to grab another one.

‘No!’ the crowd and Trump said as he pointed at the box in appreciation.

The former Republican leader also got a similar response from Twitter users.

‘The smooth brains were screaming for a piece of Trump-bitten pizza like it was the 1960s and the pizza was named Paul,’ one said.

‘What the actual f**k is wrong with these people?’

Another added: ‘Oh man, I love pizza that is passed from person to person!’

‘Okay, don’t ruin pizza for me. You can have Big Macs and wrestling, and paper towels and boxing, golf and Diet Coke, Florida and ketchup….but for the love GOD, STAY AWAY FROM PIZZA,’ a third user tweeted.

Unlike his previous public attempts at eating pizza, Trump did so in an almost human-like fashion last night.

In 2011, Trump and right-wing commentator Sarah Palin offended pizza lovers nationwide (but New Yorkers especially) by eating a pie with a knife and fork.

The pair grabbed pepperoni and cheese pizza from the Famous Famiglia Pizzeria in New York City and stacked two slices before eating them with cutlery.

The then The Daily Show host Jon Stewart said at the time: ‘Donald Trump, why don’t you just take that fork and stick it right in New York’s eye?

‘Based on how you eat pizza, Donald, I want to see your long-form birth certificate. I don’t think you were really born in New York.’

The backlash against the pizza faux pas was so intense that Trump had to do some damage control on his YouTube account.

‘This this way you can take the top of the pizza off,’ he said.

‘You’re not just eating the crust. I like to not eat the crust, so you can keep the weight down.’

Trump seriously loves pizza crust. In 1955, he and his ex-wife, Ivanka Trump, started in a Pizza Hut ad in which he inhaled a pizza slice crust-first.
