The Republican National Committee released a video Tuesday depicting the country under a second term of President Joe Biden using images generated by artificial intelligence.
The video, titled “Beat Biden,” begins with narration saying the 2024 election has been called for Biden and asks, “What if the weakest president we’ve ever had were reelected?”

The video then depicts four sets of images related to the GOP’s predicted outcomes of Biden’s foreign policy, economic policy, border policy, and crime policy under another four years for the incumbent.
The video shows AI-generated images of Taiwan being attacked, with the narrator saying the island had been invaded by China. The next set of images shows boarded-up windows and long lines as a narrator says, “Financial markets are in free fall as 500 regional banks have shuttered their doors.”
The next segment shows images of the southern border being overwhelmed, with a voiceover saying that “agents were overrun” by a surge of people crossing the border. The final set of images shows San Francisco being overrun by crime and soldiers being put on patrol in the California city as the narrator says, “Officials closed the city of San Francisco this morning, citing the escalating crime and fentanyl crisis.”
As these images are shown, various questions are posed on the screen, including, “What if international tensions rise?”, “What if financial systems crumble?”, “What if our border is gone?”, and “What if crime worsens?”
The video then ends with a picture of Biden at a desk with the narrator asking, “Who’s in charge here? It feels like the train is coming off the tracks.”
The video was released by the GOP shortly after Biden announced he would be running for reelection via a video posted to social media.

“Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That’s why I’m running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job,” Biden said in a tweet announcing his candidacy.
The front-runner of the Republican side of the 2024 presidential race is former President Donald Trump, with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) firmly in second place. Biden attacked “MAGA extremists” in his announcement video, showing images of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and a picture of Trump and DeSantis together.
