Police surround home

Police are currently surrounding a Bowdoin residence with megaphones, according to ABC affiliate WMTW.

Officers are heard saying over megaphones: “Robert Card, you’re under arrest. We know you’re inside, come out with your hands up, we don’t want anyone to get hurt.”

Helicopters are reportedly surrounding the residence.

Suspect ‘may hide in cabins’, part two

The stretch of river where Card docked his boat is relatively small, as it’s blocked off on both ends.

But across the river is a densely wooded area which, if Card successfully enters, could complicate the search, according to Chacon.

“He could use the boat to get across,” he said.

“That’s even more problematic because once he’s in that wooded area, those very forested areas are much harder to search.

“You have to get teams on the ground… it’s very manpower intensive. You pretty much have to be shoulder to shoulder with people.”

Considering his access and abilities with firearms, Chacon said that search parties should exercise an abundance of caution when entering areas with limited visibility.

Suspect ‘may hide in cabins’

A massive manhunt is underway for Robert Card, 40, after 18 people were killed and 13 more injured in the deadliest US mass shooting of 2023.

The recent search developments have expanded the area of danger, and officials are starting to warn residents across the Northeast to keep an eye out and race for safety if Card is spotted.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, Bobby Chacon, a veteran FBI Special Agent well-versed in manhunts, warned Maine homeowners to be wary of any remote cabins that may be empty.

“It’s started to get cold up in New England, and people close up their cabins for their winter,” he said.

Chacon said that Card could break into an empty home and survive for weeks on canned food and drinks that he may have prepped before the alleged crime.

New casualty specifics shared

Police have shared that all victims except for one were brought to Maine Medical Center last night.

Two victims were treated and discharged, while one was transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Three victims died in Central Maine Medical Center last night.

Eight victims remain in the hospital – five are stable, while three are in critical condition.

Card believed to have escaped on jet ski

Robert Card is believed to have made his getaway on a jet ski after allegedly killing at least 18 people and seriously injuring over a dozen more in a shooting spree.

Swat teams with armored vehicles scoured the Androscoggin river in the early hours of yesterday after the suspect’s white Subaru Outback was found abandoned at a boat dock.

Records show he registered a 2019 Sea-Doo jet ski in his name in June.

Lous noises outside Bowdoin home

Multiple shots were believed to have been fired outside a home in Bowdoin that police are currently surrounding.

At least four loud booms were heard, according to CentralMaine.com.

Police officers reportedly have long guns pointed at a truck next to a home located on Meadow Road.

Bowdoin is about 17 miles from Lewiston.
