RAPPER HELD

The rapper was arrested on similar charges in July 2022

RAPPER Kodak Black has been arrested on drug charges just three years after being pardoned by former President Donald Trump.

The Tunnel Vision rapper, real name Bill Kapri, was arrested in Plantation, Florida, just outside of Fort Lauderdale, on Wednesday after police stopped his SUV going over the speed limit.

Florida Highway Patrol detected a marijuana smell coming from Kodak’s car after pulling him over.

Troopers searched the vehicle and noticed the rapper turned his back to him and saw white powder falling on the group next to him, according to TMZ.

The officers noticed Kodak’s mouth was full of white powder and later observed several white rock-like objects on the ground.

The substance was later identified as cocaine after Kodak allegedly said it was Percocet, the outlet reported.

Authorities also found almost $75,000 in cash.

Highway patrol officials also learned that the rapper’s vehicle tag and driver’s license were both expired at the time.

Kodak, 26, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

The rapper was arrested on similar charges in July 2022 when Florida troopers allegedly found 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash in his vehicle after pulling him over.

The troubled rapper has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement since being pardoned by former President Trump in January 2020.

Kodak was due to serve a three-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to firearms charges that was expected to end in November 2022 before Trump commuted his sentence.

The 26-year-old’s criminal history spans several states, including South Carolina.

He served a brief prison stint in May 2017 after a judge sentenced him to 364 days in jail for violating the terms of his house arrest.

He was released a month later after completing a life skill course while behind bars.

He remained on house arrest for a year and was released.
