It probably seems to everyone that I bring up hypothermia every winter; well, everybody’s right. I do, and for good reason. Whether in a backcountry campsite or an urban blackout disaster, cold conditions must be taken in account. If you don’t prepare for the environment, you have made it your enemy, and it’s a formidable one.
