President Joe Biden stumbled a bit going up the stairs to Air Force One while leaving Helsinki, Finland, on his way back to Washington, D.C.

Biden, 80, appeared to stumble briefly while going up a short stairwell but quickly regained his composure and got to the top of the stairs without incident. The president then waved to the press and assembled people on the airport runway, before entering the executive airplane.

Biden has had various stumbles throughout his term as president, including tripping up the stairs to Air Force One in 2021 and falling off his bike when greeting a crowd while in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, in June 2022.

Last month, Biden had a briefly concerning moment when he tripped and fell onstage after handing out the last diploma at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in Colorado. The president received aid from Air Force officials and Secret Service and stood back up quickly. When the president was back up and standing, he pointed to a black sandbag where he had stumbled and fallen, then walked off of the stage on his own power. White House officials later confirmed that Biden was “fine” and that the sandbag was the reason for the fall.

Biden announced in April that he will be seeking a second term in 2024 as president. He is the oldest U.S. president in history.

Biden’s trip to Europe included stops in the United Kingdom, at the NATO summit in Lithuania, and in the new NATO member country Finland.

At the NATO summit, Sweden made steps to continue its track to be invited as the 32nd member of the alliance, but Ukraine does not have a timetable to join the organization. Despite the lack of a timeline for Ukraine causing frustration for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the alliance reaffirmed support for the country in its war against Russia during the annual meeting.
