Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong altered the lyrics of one the band’s most popular songs in order to take a shot at Donald Trump during their New Years Eve performance.

The band was featured in Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest for ABC, and their performance from Los Angeles consisted of American Idiot and a number of other songs from the album of the same name. The anthem is well known as a protest song, and the second verse of the song usually goes like this:

Well, maybe I’m the f****t, America
I’m not a part of a redneck agenda
Now everybody, do the propaganda
And sing along to the age of paranoia

For their New Years Eve performance though, the lyrics were considerably more pointed as Armstrong took aim at the MAGA movement:

Well, maybe I’m the f****t, America
I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda
Now everybody, do the propaganda
And sing along to the age of paranoia

Green Day has made their disapproval of Trump abundantly clear in the past, and this isn’t the first time they’ve changed the lyrics of American Idiot to bash the former president.
