Fox News host Jesse Watters spent a segment of his prime time hour on Tuesday alleging that Washington lawmakers might be engaging in insider trading. Among the targets were Democrats and Republicans, and one of those Republicans was not happy to be included on this list.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) eviscerated Watters in five Instagram Story posts, calling him a “fucking clown,” a “fucking hack,” a “dirtbag millionaire,” and a “mediocre” entertainer. And that was all before he called him a “loser” who “grew up with a silver spoon” and “cheated on his wife and then left her with twins while he went off with another Fox producer.”

The segment from Jesse Watters Primetime in question can be watched above, and while Crenshaw is not the focus of the segment, he is mentioned by name and appears on the chart. Crenshaw did not dispute the figures cited by Watters, and did confirm that he has “$10,000 invested in stocks” but has not made any trades in “over a year.” He also said that while serving in Congress, he “never had more than $20k invested,” adding: “Fox knows this but they’re desperate for fake controversy to get clicks.”

Instagram Stories only last 24 hours after they are initially posted, but J.D. Wolf has all five of Crenshaw’s posts screenshotted at Meidas Touch. They start by going on the defensive and challenging Watters to make his accusations in person:

Hey you fucking hack, if you’re gonna accuse me of literal corruption, get your facts straight and man up and come accuse me to my face. You’re a fucking clown desperate for clickbait. …

Watters is a tool, making millions to push conspiracies on tv and bash veterans like me who are barely a fraction of his net worth. Wake up America. The political entertainment industry is almost always lying to you.

The second IG post included the full list from unusual_whales on Twitter/X that Watters used for his segment, providing some context to where Crenshaw actually placed, which was much lower than he appeared to be in the segment. The third post continued the rant against Watters:

I’m sitting here trying to feed my 3 month old and this dirt bag millionaire at Fox is accusing me of being a criminal with zero evidence.

Stop watching these mediocre entertainers.

Stop letting wealthy elitists like [Jesse] Watters claim to be “fighting for you.” They live in Manhattan and can’t stand normal people who live in red states. They think you’re stupid and feed you bullshit to rile you up.

Then, in the fourth post, things got personal:

Losers like Watters grew up with a silver spoon. His family is made up of well connected journalists and politicians. And for some reason, people are fooled into believing he’s some genuine blue collar conservative. Yeah, he’s such a “conservative” he cheated on his wife and then left her with twins while he went off with another Fox producer.

And then in the fifth and final post, Crenshaw went full middle-school:

And let’s be honest, Jesse Watters seems like the type of dude who pees sitting down.

It does not appear that Watters has responded to Crenshaw on social media.
