SUPERSTAR singer Adele has been hit by a backlash from fans who face stumping up nearly £1,000 to see her in concert this summer.

You’ll need to be rolling in it deep to afford £984 for the best seat in the house during her ten-night residency in Germany.

Even the cheapest tickets for her first European gigs in eight years are a hefty £280 each.

Up to 270,000 people spent hours in online queues when tickets for the concerts went on sale last week.

Affordable seats costing just £60 at the purpose-built outdoor arena in Munich quickly sold out.

VIP standing tickets in front of the stage, including early entry and a free gift, are still available for £615.

And the best seat package is £984.

Mum-of-two Lisa Bale, 46, first saw Adele in Wolverhampton in 2011 and paid just £29.50 for her ticket.

The HR adviser, from Newport Pagnell, Bucks, said: “That seems like a very long time ago now.

“After pre-registering and enduring a queue of nearly 200,000 people, I was excited to finally get my turn.

“But all the cheap seats were gone and the remaining tickets were priced at just over £300 — which I found way too steep.

“I logged off, feeling like she’s gotten a bit greedy. I’m a huge fan and think she’s wonderful but just can’t justify spending that.”

London event manager Michelle Batchelor, 43, said: “I’ve seen her at Madison Square Garden in New York but that worked out cheaper than flying to Munich in August.

“I’m one of the thousands who queued for hours only to find the affordable seats gone and only the extortionate VIP ones left.

“She’s a great performer but the cheapest I could find was £286.08.

“I can’t spend that on my salary — let alone nearly £1,000 for the best seat. We can only hope the prices come down if no one buys.”

Mum-of-one Adele, 35, is set to perform in Munich after her 18-month Las Vegas residency ends in June.

‘A bit random, but still fabulous’

Initially, she announced six dates, before adding four more due to incredibly high demand.

The gigs are her first in Europe since 2016.

The Someone Like You star posted online: “I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans.

“However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea — a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on?

“Pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe? In Munich? That’s a bit random, but still fabulous!”
