A new internal review of Twitter has found the site is becoming a major platform for NSFW content.

The study found that over the last two years, mainstream topics (news, fashion, celebrity content, etc.) on the app have decreased. And only two topics of interest have seen growth: cryptocurrency and adult content.

The report found that adult content now makes up 13 percent of tweets. Twitter is the only major social media platform that allows nudity on its site.

Back in September, Reuters reported that Twitter’s lack of filtering allowed for child pornography to spread easily. This caused advertisers like Dyson, PBS Kids and Forbes to suspend advertising with Twitter to avoid potential controversy.

The report found that the audience on Twitter has also drastically changed. Fewer users are posting; 90 percent of tweets are now created by less than 10 percent of the users.

While the platform once aspired to be a “digital town hall” for endless thoughts and ideas, that, well, isn’t the case anymore.

Twitter representatives have said they are exploring new options or opportunities for growth, which may or may not include one eccentric billionaire, but for now the report confirms that it’s time for things to change.

“It seems as though there is a significant discrepancy between what I might imagine are our company values and our growth patterns,” wrote one Twitter analyst in the report.
