Barron Trump seems to have gotten the tallest genes in the family as the 17-year-old boy was seen towering over his mother and father at the family funeral of his grandmother, Amalija Knav.
The teenager, getting ready to attend college, is now taller than both of his parents. In another photo, Barron is seen walking behind Donald Trump from the car to the church and is touching his father in seeming consolation.
After the funeral, the family exited the church, with Barron Trump standing in between his famous parents. The whole family had solemn expressions, with Melania’s usual stoic gaze unbroken.
Barron looks to be the tallest of the bunch, measuring in at 6 foot 7 inches – to his father’s already lanky 6 foot 3.

Barron has maintained a close relationship to his grandparents, and often eats his grandmother’s eastern European cuisine.
In fact, Donald Trump said at a campaign rally just days ago in Des Moines, Iowa, that, “That’s how he got so tall, he only ate her food,” he said to laughs in the crowd. Trump also said that despite Barron’s height, the kid preferred soccer to basketball.
Trump then added: “I said you’re gonna be a basketball player. He said, ‘well, I like soccer dad, actually.’ But you can’t talk them into everything!” Trump laughed, adding that, “Barron was a special boy.”
Melania was close with her mother after she came to the US, and missed most of the holiday and New Years celebrations at Mar-a-lago caring for her mom.

Barron and his grandmother had a special relationship. Barron was taught to speak Slovenian by his grandparents. Bojan Pozar, author of “Melania Trump — The Inside Story: The Potential First Lady,” wrote, “Barron almost certainly speaks Slovenian with… Ines, his aunt, who also lives in New York.
“Ines Knavs was the one who took care of all the paperwork at the Slovenia consulate in New York so that Barron could formally acquire Slovenian citizenship,” he wrote. The former first child of a president was the first to have dual citizenship while living in the White House.
Donald Trump flew into Florida in the early hours of Thursday to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs, along with the rest of his family. He filed into the church with Melania and Barron, who was seen standing in between his parents.

The first photo of the family pictured together as they exited the Church showed Donald next to his son Baron and his wife Melania, who was flanked by her father, Viktor, as they watched Amalija’s coffin get carried out.
The entire Trump family came out to pay their respects to Melania’s mother. Rev. Tim Schenck, who joined Bethesda as rector in 2022 greeted the family as they entered the church, where Donald Trump is a long-time member.

Trump’s sister Elizabeth Trump Grau, 82 entered the church seperately, as did Donald Trump Jr.’s partner Kimberly Guilfoyle, 54, though Trump’s eldest son has not been spotted yet.
The tropically-set church is no stranger to political guests, as Senators Rick Scott and Lindsay Graham also entered the funeral space after greeting each other and walking in side-by-side with thier wives.
